Everything about making your home eco-friendly!
In this day and age of global warming and with the environment’s slowly depleting resources, people are becoming more and more conscious with the products and the appliances that they use. This includes heating systems. There are a number of heating systems available in the market today, but only a few are as efficient and as ecologically friendly as ground source heat pumps. These are actually the best ways to influence the temperature in your houses, and come a close second to solar powered heat pumps when we talk about environmentally friendly devices.
Ground source heat pumps work by absorbing the heat that is emanated from the ground. They make use of coils, called loop pipes, buried underneath the ground and containing water and an antifreeze substance. You do not need a huge garden or lawn in order to have these loops installed. You would only need an area where a trench could be built, and you are good to go. The length of loop that you would need would largely depend on the size of your home and the amount of heating you would require.
There are a lot of stores that would offer cheap heat pumps. Bear in mind the technology being utilized here, and you would understand that getting cheap heat pumps might not be the best idea there is. Most heat pump systems would range from $700 being the cheapest, and up to $4000. The money you spend on these babies could easily be won back though because you would be saving a lot from your energy requirements. Ground source heat pumps are known to clash electricity and fuel requirements by 30%! That is a lot!
How do they do this? Well, these systems combine the functions of both air conditioner and heating furnace. You would no longer need to pay for two separate appliances, because now you can have both! Ground source heat pumps would be the ultimate buy for the eco-friendly individual!
